About Us

Who are we?

Seeksolve was started by a small team based in Melbourne, Australia. The principal founder is Nick Redwood, who has managed the seeksolve project from genesis, through design, development and launch. Technology partners Kinnov provided the IT wizardry needed to make the site work. Numerous others in Melbourne and elsewhere have worked on all aspects of the website and business from marketing to legal advice. We are very excited about the future of seeksolve and if you are too, please spread the word.

Technology licensing

If you're interesting in using seeksolve technology in your company's website or internal systems, contact us using the Feedback tab on the main page.

Seeksolve's technology is perfect for choosing the right option or options from hundreds or thousands of complex, commodified options that people primarily assess objectively. Making these decisions can be very difficult. Seeksolve gives you or your company the tools to navigate this complexity and make great decisions.

If you are a comparison site operating in a market that we are not yet present in, we are also happy to discuss licensing arrangements. Please describe how you would like to use our technology, which market you are focused on and whether you have an existing database or not.

To determine if the decisions you make could be improved using seeksolve's technology, determine if the options you are selecting from are:

Complex - Products like laptops are complex because the end-user may care about 15 or 20 characteristics of the product. Choosing the right option requires an understanding of the compromises and trade-offs between these different factors. Furthermore, the importance of each of the product characteristics depends on the specific requirements of the end-user e.g. the importance given to the weight of a laptop depends on how much the end-user plans to carry it around with them. The seeksolve Product Environment shows these trade-offs graphically so that you can really understand the decision that you are making.

Commodified - Seeksolve's technology works for things that have similar characteristics to one another. Generally, these are products that are commodities. For example, a laptop is a commodity because it is generally understood that a laptop has certain core qualities. By contrast, non-standard and boutique items don't fit into the system. Don't let us limit you just to the world of products though - we've also considered experimenting with using seeksolve's system in areas like baseball statistics or chemistry.

Assessed objectively - Firstly, this means raw specifications, numbers and features; these can be shown easily. If raw specifications don't adequately describe the product in a way that is helpful to the end-user, then artificial benchmarks or metrics can be used as well. On top of this it is possible to use aggregate subjective scores to assess less easily quantifiable data (though we have avoided aggregating reviews on the laptop comparison site).

If this describes the data you deal with, then our system can make a huge difference to your decision-making processes. Contact us using the Feedback tab on the main page.
